KATE EVANS . LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Leadership that's grounded, human, and built to last

Online & in-person coaching, workshops and facilitation for teams and organisations

Drawing on the same philosophy behind Eudaimonia, that people do their best work when they're grounded, supported and genuinely understood, Kate works with leaders and teams to build clarity, resilience and stronger ways of working. 1:1 coaching, team workshops and bespoke facilitation, delivered virtually or in person across Staffordshire and the UK.

Supporting Your People from the Inside Out:

Because effective leadership requires both professional skills and personal well-being.

Strong leadership isn't only about frameworks and competencies. The leaders who do this best are also the ones who understand themselves, communicate with honesty, and know how to stay grounded under pressure.

Most leadership development stops at the professional skills. Kate goes further, combining proven coaching methods with a genuine understanding of what helps people function well under real pressure, so the leaders you develop are capable and resilient, not just competent on paper.

Based in Staffordshire, delivering leadership programmes UK-wide and internationally online.

Ready to develop leaders who can handle what modern work actually throws at them?

Leadership Coaching

A more complete approach to leadership development

Most leadership training focuses purely on strategy, decision-making and performance. Important, but only half the picture. The leaders who hold up best under real pressure also understand themselves, communicate honestly, and know how to manage stress before it becomes burnout, both their own and their team's.

That's the approach behind every programme Kate delivers: strategic and practical leadership skills, built alongside emotional intelligence, resilience, and the kind of communication that builds trust rather than just compliance.

Sound like the kind of leadership development your organisation needs?

1:1 leadership coaching

One-to-one coaching for leaders and managers who want to lead with more clarity and less strain. Sessions work on the practical side of leadership, decision-making, performance, difficult conversations, delegation, alongside the personal side that's often left out: self-awareness, resilience under pressure, and the kind of communication that builds genuine trust rather than just compliance.

Delivered virtually world-wide. Suitable for emerging managers through to senior leaders.

Training facilitation

Practical, facilitated sessions designed to strengthen how a team works together, not just another day out of the office. Workshops focus on real issues, communication that breaks down under pressure, unclear accountability, friction between people who see things differently, and give teams tools they'll actually use once they're back at their desks.

Delivered virtually or in person, tailored to your team's size, either bespoke or pre designed content and always for the specific challenges you're facing.

Team workshops

Sometimes a business needs a skilled, neutral facilitator rather than a coach, for a strategy day, a difficult conversation between teams, or a session that needs structure and an outside perspective to actually move somewhere. Kate brings the same grounded, human approach to facilitation as she does to coaching, creating a space where people feel comfortable enough to be honest.

Available for one-off sessions or ongoing work, in person across Staffordshire and the West Midlands, or virtually further afield.

Team coaching

Perfect for organisations who want more than surface-level engagement

Kate works well with healthcare teams managing high pressure and emotional demand, charities and non-profits balancing purpose with burnout risk, growing businesses building culture as they scale, and education or professional services teams navigating demanding environments.

Insights Discovery

Investment & Process

Every engagement starts with a complimentary discovery call, thirty to sixty minutes to understand your organisation's needs and explore how the right programme could work for your team.

From there, support is shaped around what you actually need. Some organisations want a single workshop or session. Others prefer ongoing support, regular team sessions or quarterly leadership development built into the year. Others need a hybrid of 1:1 coaching, team work and facilitation running alongside each other. Every programme is designed around your organisation's needs, budget and culture, not a fixed package.

Kate's Background:

Kate brings over fifteen years of corporate leadership experience to every programme she delivers. She's an ILM Level 7 Executive Coach and Trainer, an NLP Master Practitioner, and an accredited Insights Discovery facilitator, with a background spanning business strategy, performance management and organisational change, including work with international and remote teams.

What sets her apart is what she brings alongside that corporate grounding. Kate is also trained in trauma-informed facilitation and mental health awareness, and understands, from real experience, what actually helps people stay resilient and think clearly under sustained pressure. It's a combination that means leaders get rigorous, credible development that also takes the whole person seriously, not one at the expense of the other.

Kate Evans - The Coaching Retreat

What Organisations Say

"I recently arranged people management training for our leadership team with Kate at The Coaching Retreat. From the outset, Kate was fantastic to work with. After I initially reached out, we discussed our specific needs as a company, and Kate took the time to step us through her thoughts, making sure to include us in the planning process all the way through to finalising and arranging the training course."

"My 1:1 sessions with Kate gave me space to properly reflect and reconnect with why I lead the way I do. When she ran a workshop for our wider team, it was powerful and emotional in parts, but in the best way; she helped the group open up and reconnect with the reasons behind what we do. It wasn't just professional development, for any of us, it was personal too."

Helen Perkins
CUE Media

"Kate brought a rare mix of genuine corporate understanding and deep, human-centred coaching to our leadership team. The 1:1 sessions gave our managers far more clarity and confidence, and the leadership day she ran for the wider team was the most honest, useful session we've had as a group. Watching our people grow through it reminded me what real leadership looks like: authentic, thoughtful, and strong."
